This course is designed to be an introductory course for new users of the Solaris 8 Operating Environment. It provides an overview of the workstation and the operating environment features, as well as critical skills in the use of the environment features and utilities. You will learn how to use commands and graphical user interface (GUI) tools to perform work and customize the environment to meet your requirements. Additionally, this course is designed for those who eventually want to prepare for the Solaris 8 certification process and do not have prior experience with Solaris 8 or UNIX systems in general.
